About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots and complaints about the games we downloaded on the commute. At some point we figured we might as well write it all down properly, so here we are. The site is small, independent, and run by folks who genuinely enjoy playing on a phone.

We cover every genre because that's how people actually play. One week it's a chill match-three, the next it's a strategy game that eats your evenings. We don't stick to one lane, and we don't chase trends just because something is charting.

Games get picked a few ways: readers suggest them, we spot something interesting in the store, or one of us just falls down a rabbit hole. Before anything gets a review, someone here plays it for a real stretch of time — not five minutes, not a trailer. If a game turns out dull or broken, we say so.

There's no big company behind this and nobody tells us what to write. The whole point is that you can trust the verdict.
